05/02/2004: "Film review: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Eternal Sunshine is a chase movie about love, memory loss and lucid dreaming. It's a good film and looks great, but isn't as emotionally engaging as it should have been. Watching it, two things struck me: 1) I wish I'd written, or been involved with, something like this. 2) The couples in the cinema were probably thinking of past loves.

She Who Must be Obeyed and S.W.M.B.O. Jr., who's home from Uni., picked up an ARMFUL of chickflicks at the video store. My life is HELL!

What's YOUR excuse for all the movie going?

I have seen a few more recently films than I do usually, but I'm also *writing* about the films I've seen. I've rarely done that before.

You should get the lads round and bunker down with some WWII flicks.

The 'boob tube' has apparently been rewired to only accept chic flics; or so they tell me.
